When it comes to washing winter clothes it can be stressful figuring out how to correctly wash them. Here are some tips on washing some of the particularly difficult winter clothes.
DOWN JACKET’S:
First of all, when it comes to down jackets you want to wash them as little as possible. Over-washing cause the feathers inside the jacket to breakdown, so 1-2 times a season is perfect. When actually washing the jacket, wash it in cold water then tumble dry on low until the jacket is fully dry even if it takes more than one cycle.
FLEECE:
Fleeces should be turned inside out when washing and you should try not to wash them with particularly linty items such as towels. Once the fleece is washed air dry it.
LEGGINGS AND LOUNGE WEAR:
Leggings and lounge wear should always be turned inside out when washing to avoid fading and pilling of the fabric and washed on cold. Leggings and lounge wear can be dried normally unless they are high-end or high-performance fabrics, with those you should skip drying.
