There are a few reasons why your electric stove may not be heating, though the most common is that you just need to replace your burner. Just to make sure that the issue is that you need a new burner; remove the faulty burner and put a different working burner in the burner socket. If that burner heats up then you’ve confirmed you need a new burner. If that burner does not heat up then the problem could be the burner socket or you may have a defective switch on your hands.
