Many people have started getting into making their own natural laundry detergent so they can avoid washing their clothes with chemicals they cannot even pronounce. But what about our dishes, we eat off of them don’t we? Making your own dishwasher detergent and dishwasher soap is much easier than you may think. Here are two great recipes for dishwasher soap and dishwasher detergent that are just as good on tough dish grime as store bought ones.

-1 tbsp rated bar soap
-17-20 drops of essential oil (optional)

Combine borax and grated soap in a medium size bowl, heat water to boil, pour the mixture of borax and grated soap into the boiling water, whisk until the grated soap is completely melted.
