How to Re-Kindle The Love with Your Appliances: Valentine’s Day Edition

Standard

Valentines Day can be a little hectic and it is easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle of the day. We have all heard the cliché saying “You have to love yourself before you can love another person”. Well, maybe we also have to love our appliances before we can love our home. Before you get wrapped up in flowers and chocolates, check out how to fall in love with your appliances.

Read the Manual. Many people fall into the habit of getting their appliances installed and losing their owner’s manual within the first few hours. Try to read through the manual. You will find many different features you never would have known about otherwise. Get the most for your money by being aware of everything available to you via your appliance. This will help you fall more in love with the appliances you have rather than desiring another.

Do The Maintenance. After reading the manual, you will know what kind of maintenance is required of you to keep your appliances up and running; living a long, meaningful life in your home. Be sure to check the seals on your appliances to assure water and heat aren’t wasted. Your appliances will thank you by staying alive much longer.

Keep Them Shiny. Life gets busy, but do not let life get too busy to keep your appliances clean and brand-new looking. Try to do a wipe-down of your appliances (inside and out!) often to avoid caked on grime and dirt from day to day living. If you notice any scratches, you can easily remove them with this kit.

Use Them As Intended. That’s right. You may be in a hurry, but don’t stuff two loads worth of laundry into one, and do not overstock your refrigerator. Be sure to purchase the right kind of laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent. This will help maintain the machine and keep it in tip-top shape.

Don’t Over-Use. More use = more wear and tear. It is simply a way of life. So, when using your appliances, use them efficiently. Turn on the oven to preheat when necessary, and turn it off immediately after you are done. Use the shortest cycles in your dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

Spend time falling in love with your appliances this Valentine’s Day… You won’t regret it!
