Is your dishwasher leaving food residue behind or smelling a little funky, or maybe even leaving your dishes feeling a little gritty? All of these dishwasher symptoms could be associated with your dishwasher’s filter. Cleaning your dishwasher’s filter is a pretty simple do it yourself job that can fix some common dishwasher issues. Here is how to clean your dishwasher’s filter in just minutes!
Step 1: Open your dishwasher door and slide the bottom rack to the side.
Step 2: Remove the round filter located on the bottom of the dishwasher near the spray arms by turning it counter-clockwise and lifting it up.
Step 3: Remove the coarse filter from the bottom of the dishwasher.
Step 4: Hand wash your dishwasher’s coarse filter and round filter until all of the gunk is cleaned from the filters.
Step 5: Place your dishwasher’s coarse filter and round filter back in the dishwasher and you’ve cleaned your dishwasher filters!
