What Will I Need?

  • Vinegar
  • Spray bottle
  • Dish soap
  • Scrub brush or sponge with a tough surface
  • Two old rags (one dry, one damp)

What Do I Do?

1: Fill up your sink with hot, soapy water. Place the grates from you range place them in the water. Let them soak.

2: Using a cloth or wipe, remove any loose crumbs from the surface of the stovetop.

3: Grab your spray bottle and mix together one part vinegar with one part water. Spray down your range with this mixture and you can let this sit, it will not harm your appliance.

4: Using a different rag then before, wipe off the mixture. This should get of a good portion of the stains and dirt. You may be able to stop at this point, but for the more stubborn of stains continue down the list.

5: Using dish soap and a scrub brush, focus your attention on those pesky stains. Scrub in a circular motion to get the best results. After spray your range with you mixture again and repeat step four.

6: Now remove the burner Caps. and place these in the soapy sink water with the grates.

7: You can use the scrub brush and dish soap to clean the grates and burner caps for thoroughly if necessary.

8: Now remove the burner heads. These should be easy to remove by pulling straight up gently. Wipe these down quickly then place back.

9: After these steps, you can take your grates and burner caps out of the soapy water and wipe them down with your dry rag.

10: Put your range back together and enjoy your sparkling range.
