You’ve Been Cleaning Your Bathroom Wrong this Entire Time!

Standard

Bathrooms are one of the most avoided areas to clean in your home, but why? Whatever the case may be whether it is because of the moisture in the room, the germs or strong products it still has to get done. Did you know that even though you dumped bleach and scrub your entire bathroom you still might have been cleaning it wrong the entire time?

Here we have listed reasons why your bathroom isn’t getting the efficient cleaning it deserves.

The Hair Brush:

Admit it, we’ve all done this. We brush or comb our hair almost every day but when was the last time you actually cleaned your hairbrush? Hairbrushes trap dirt, hair products, and old skin which can be redeposited if you don’t clean it. In order to avoid this, remove all hair caught onto the bristles. Grab your old toothbrush and gently brush the bristles with a DIY solution mix of water, shampoo, and baking soda.

You Ignored Your Toilet:

The sink, the bathtub, and of course the toilet are the most important parts to clean in the bathroom. If you think pouring toilet cleaner down the toilet bowl will do the trick, well you are very mistaken. Grab your trusty stiffed-bristled brush and some bleach powder to scrub your bowl.

You Don’t Vacuum

Did you know that vacuuming isn’t only for rugs and carpets? Before mopping your tiles, you should vacuum to remove any dirt.

Food goes into your mouth and you scrub it off with your toothbrush. If you continue to repeat this process it will not only leave you with a dirty toothbrush but also spread more bacteria into your mouth. You should replace your toothbrush every 3 months and deep clean it once a week.
