Happy Birthday KitchenAid!

Everyone has heard of KitchenAid for their famous mixers. A cute and highly useful addition to any kitchen, these mixers make baking and cooking easy, quick, and fun. What you may not know, however… is the rich history behind KitchenAid and how the company as a whole has truly revolutionized working in the kitchen for us all.

Their success dates all the way back to 1919, with the release of the original “best kitchen aid” (their Model H-5). Although nowadays this version seems fairly ancient, at the time it came out it was a one of a kind food processor. And this was just the beginning. KitchenAid not only continuously made improvements on this mixer design, but also eventually came out with their first non-mixer appliance- the KitchenAid Dishwasher. It was the most advanced dishwasher ever sold for in-home use up to that point in time, and after the success of this, KitchenAid swiftly released more and more variety of superior products.

Today, KitchenAid carries hundreds of different products, including major appliances, such as stoves and refrigerators, countertop appliances, like their microwaves and blenders, and even smaller kitchenware, such as assorted cutlery and baking sheets. And of course, they have a variety of styles, colors, and types of their original claim to fame, the KitchenAid Mixer!

2019 will celebrate 100 years of KitchenAid being in business, meaning 100 years of memories (and let’s not forget delicious food!) being made in kitchens all over the world. To aid in the celebration, they have released a limited addition mixer in their retro Misty Blue color, and will be releasing a matching limited edition wall oven shortly. Congratulations to this iconic company on 100 years of success!
