As of February 23, 2017 Carrier has expanded the recall on Carrier, Bryant, and Fast brand PTAC and PTHP units due to a faulty power cord posing a fire hazard risk. The recall includes approximately 94,000 units in addition to the original 185,000 recalled in November of 2007 and 285,000 added in December of 2015.Continue reading

As of September 15th, General Electric has issued a recall on certain Top-Loading Washers. A component of the washer may potentially overheat, creating a fire hazard. The recall includes 3 different GE Profile high-efficiency models sold in the colors gold, grey, and white between June of 2003 and October of 2011. The affected models are:
“When we learned that child’s education could be at risk because they do not have access to clean clothes, we were determined to help,” said Whirlpool brand manager Chelsey Lindstrom. “It’s incredible to see how the simple act of laundry can have such a profound impact on student’s lives and we are excited to bring this resource to even more schools across the country.”
